[ESP] El encuentro entre la palabra y la música es clave en este nuevo disco. El alemán en “Morgen” de Richard Strauss, el auvernés -dialecto del occitano- en las canciones de Canteloube y el euskera en la lectura de distintos textos, leídos a lo largo del disco, proponen una visión abierta y poliédrica de la fuerte evolución y la creciente complejidad protagonizadas por la mujer en el último siglo y medio de la cultura occidental: Pauline, la mujer receptora de un regalo de bodas del deslumbrante Richard Strauss; la voz insinuante sumergida en la fuerza de la naturaleza; la mujer que espera desesperadamente a su amante, sin el que no encuentra sentido a su vida; la que se abre activamente a la naturaleza erótica, de la que bien pudiera ser dueña; la mujer política que ansía y reivindica valores; la mujer libre, que se ha encontrado ya con el potencial transformador de la desesperanza. Se configura así una visión: somos tanto lo que quedó atrás como todo lo que estemos dispuestos a vivir.

Con el metal como protagonista, alternando con distintas geometrías musicales (dúos, cuartetos, tríos), la música de “Confluencias – Topaketak” tiene un sesgo marcadamente vivo y actual, con obras dedicadas al Ensemble Soinuaren Bidaia por Mollá y Martínez Campos y otras de compositores en activo, Süss y Saglietti. Canteloube y Richard Strauss complementan estas propuestas con su sesgo más asentado y tradicional.

[ENG] The encounter between word and music is key in this new album. German in «Morgen» by Richard Strauss, Auvergne – dialect of Occitan – in the songs of Canteloube and Basque in the reading of different texts read throughout the album, propose an open and multifaceted vision of the strong evolution and growing complexity carried out by women in the last century and a half of western culture: Pauline, the recipient of a wedding gift from the dazzling Richard Strauss; the insinuating voice immersed in the force of nature; the woman who desperately awaits her lover, without whom she finds no meaning in her life; the one that actively opens up to erotic nature, wich she could as well own; the political woman who longs for and claims values; the free woman, who has already encountered the transformative potential of hopelessness. A vision is thus configured: we are both what was left behind and everything we are willing to live.

With brass as the protagonist, alternating with different musical geometries (duets, quartets, trios) the music of «Confluencias – Topaketak» has a markedly alive and current bias, with works dedicated to the Ensemble Soinuaren Bidaia by Mollá and Martínez Campos and others by active composers, Süss and Saglietti. Canteloube and Richard Strauss complement these proposals with their more established and traditional bias.
